Athlete’s foot is another fungal infection of the feet caused by the fungi dermatophytes. These fungi grow in damp and dark environment which can occur because of poorly ventilated footwear or poor hygiene and continuous contact with shared surfaces like gyms, pools and locker room floors. Despite the name, athlete’s foot affects not only professional sportsmen – it can also bother a wider group of people, given the ease of initiation.
Symptoms of athlete’s foot are scaling and peeling of the area between the toes, or redness and blisters on the sides and soles of the feet. It is advisable to try a trustworthy antifungal cream at this stage or else there is a risk of secondary bacterial infection.
Athletes foot is sometimes related to onychomycosis, an infection of toenails, though onychomycosis is more stubborn than athletes foot. There are many topical fungus treatments available and you may find some effective ones too, like Zetaclear. Zetaclear is already established as the best toenail fungus treatment and can also help you get rid of the fungus associated with the athlete’s foot. It contains herbal extracts which soothe the dry flaky areas of the feet. Zetaclear is not only a toenail cure, it is also a good cure for athlete’s foot because it has the best antifungal agents as well as natural extracts which kill the infection and promote healthy feet and toenails. The active ingredient in Zetaclear is undecylenic acid, which is a powerful antifungal and antiviral medicine. It has the potential to cure even complex skin disorders like herpes simplex.
So there is no wonder that Zetaclear is the chosen over the counter medication for athletes foot treatment. You need to apply it twice daily over the infected area for several weeks before you see improvements in your condition.
Apart from this you should keep your feet clean and dry at all times. Wear clean socks (made from non-synthetic materials) and shoes, and change them as often as you feel the need to. Use an antifungal powder to keep the areas between the toes dry. Avoid using personal items like towels and linen – toenail fungus is a contagious disease.

This morning I woke up and discovered I had Athlete’s Foot, and oddly enough yesterday I ate break that I picked a green piece of mould on it, because I couldn’t be bothered running to the shop. Could that have coursed it?
Dear Simona,
Essentially, take a warm diluted vinegar and put salt in it… soak your feet for a while, and dry them off. The baking soda is to collect moisture. Lemon oil, listerine, and vinegar dis-infect.
Don’t bleach your skin. Keep in mind that you could have allergic reactions to the OTC treatments. I don’t know if that’s how you contracted it, but Zetaclear will definitely help you to treat your Athletes foot.
Hoping to get some advise. I have been struggling with athlete’s foot for about 2 years. This is the longest I have had it. I have tried so many creams and powders and nothing has happened. I work in an office setting so I have to wear dress shoes everyday. I have tried getting larger shoes but that seems not to help. I have been removing my shoes when I am at my desk so my feet can breath. I was hoping someone can relate and give me some advice.
Dear Eddie,
I can relate completely to your situation. There are 3 best antifungal creams on the market right now: Zetaclear, Funginix and Nail RX. In my particular case Zetaclear worked for me. Seriously, give it a try.
